Jan Hendrik Kopp is Senior Research Associate at EWI. He is also a PhD student at the University of Cologne. In his work, he is engaged in the modeling of energy systems and markets for natural gas and hydrogen. His research is focused on European and global natural gas markets and the hydrogen market ramp-up and development of a hydrogen infrastructure in Germany and Europe. Before joining EWI, Jan Hendrik Kopp studied mechanical engineering with focus on energy and process engineering at the TH Georg Agricola Bochum and the Ruhr University Bochum as well as at Virginia Tech (USA).
