Dr. Philip Schnaars is Head of Research Area and leads the research areas of electricity market and regulation at the EWI. As an expert, he researches and publishes on energy carriers such as electricity and hydrogen, as well as the overall economic impacts of the energy sector. He advises companies, ministries, and associations. Before his time at EWI, he worked as a Research Associate at the University of Hamburg, where he completed a PhD in Economics focusing on renewable energies.
