The Cologne Graduate School in Economics, Management, and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne in cooperation with the Institute of Energy Economics at the University of Cologne (EWI) offers a fellowship program for PhD students in energy economics. It includes training and supervision to obtain a doctoral degree or PhD at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. The fellowship is dedicated to the research topics of the EWI:
EWI Fellows enroll in the doctoral program or PhD program at the CGS. They receive a three-year PhD scholarship, participate in the EWI PhD program, and have the opportunity to work part-time at the EWI in parallel.
The combination of one of the CGS structured graduate programs with the EWI research program and activities provides a unique academic environment. Qualified students without sufficient economics training will also receive additional training and a corresponding extension of the fellowship period (“Economics Booster”).
