The Department of Information Systems for Sustainable Society (IS3) and EWI are happy to announce that the next PASS workshop will take place on Friday, July 24 2020 at the Institute of Energy Economics of the University of Cologne. The workshop will kick-off with a networking dinner on Thursday, July 23 already.
The workshop on Policy, Awareness, Sustainability, and Systems (PASS) is an initiative of Workshop for Information Technology and Systems (WITS) to encourage research in terms of problem domains, technological and methodological scope and its potential impact. The purpose of the PASS workshop is to invite researchers and scholars to discuss their research related to Information Systems and Technology and provide a forum for substantive discussion around a broad set of forward-looking topics.
The organizers especially seek new research on the paradigmal shifts of the energy and mobility domains. Consistent with WITS theme, the methodological focus the organizers encourage is that of computational, simulation and algorithmic strain. The award ceremony of the 2020 Power TAC tournament will take place during the workshop. Power TAC participants are particularly welcome to submit abstracts.
The presenting author will be provided accommodations for one night. There is no registration fee, however, the space is limited and will be provided on a first come, first served basis. Interested presenters should submit an extended abstract (maximum 6 pages, excluding references) to the workshop’s submission system. Deadline for submission is April 24, 6 PM (GMT+2).
Note: Due to the current situation, this workshop will probably not take place until autumn 2020.
