The latest event in the EWI-Insights series focused on the draft of the Building Energy Act (BEA), its planned adjustments, as well as critical success factors for implementing the Wärmewende.

The draft of the Building Energy Act (GEG) calls for 65 percent renewable energy for the operation of new heating systems. This would lead to an increase in the use of heat pumps and district heating networks. However, the necessary conditions for this are not yet fully in place.
