The study “Towards a green shipping gateway – Establishing a green hydrogen economy in Egypt” examines options for defossilizing global shipping from a technical, economic, and logistical perspective. Building on this, the study discusses Egypt’s future role as part of a green shipping corridor from a geopolitical and economic perspective. Egypt plays a vital role in maritime transportation, as 12% of international trade passes through the Suez Canal.
