Michael Moritz, M.Sc. joined the EWI in 2020 and is a PhD student at the University of Cologne. He works on modelling energy systems and markets. His research is focused on the determination of production and import costs of synthetic energy carriers, the development of global gas markets, the gas and hydrogen infrastructure as well as the decarbonisation of industrial processes. Before joining EWI, Michael Moritz studied environmental engineering with a focus on process engineering at the RWTH Aachen University (Germany) and the Chalmers University of Technology Gothenburg (Sweden).
