Dr.-Ing. Ann-Kathrin Klaas is Project Lead at the EWI since 2023 and Head of Research Area since 2024. Her research focuses on the hydrogen and natural gas economy and the heat transition. She leads the Hydrogen and Heat research programs at EWI. Before joining the EWI, she completed her doctorate at the Institute for Electrical Power Engineering and Energy Systems in the field of energy systems technology at Clausthal University of Technology on the topic of hydrogen storage. Before that, she studied energy technologies and energy systems engineering, also at Clausthal University of Technology and at Lulea University of Technology (Sweden).
