This year’s workshop will be held as a webinar in cooperation with the Chair of Energy System Economics at RWTH Aachen University. Registration information for the webinar will be sent to all participants the day before the workshop.
The aim of the workshop is to give PhD students, students and people interested in energy science and energy policy the opportunity to present their work. The workshop is designed as an interdisciplinary forum to discuss existing papers, “work in progress”, theses and dissertations. Regular meetings of the young scholars will enable and maintain an exchange among themselves as well as with “seniors” from academia and practice. Submitted papers can be theoretical or empirical in nature and address the following topics, among others:
Cross-sectoral aspects:
Simulation, modeling and scenario analysis with respect to energy generation, distribution and consumption.
Regulation and liberalization of energy markets and networks
Corporate strategies under changing conditions
Energy trading and risk management
Technical, regulatory and strategic aspects of supply security
Innovative technologies and technology assessment
Energy consumption and investment behavior
Digitalization of the energy industry and novel business models
Analysis of sector-specific aspects and case studies:
Energy markets (electricity, natural gas, oil, coal, etc.)
Renewable energies (potentials, technology, economic efficiency)
Climate change economics and emissions trading
Stakeholder analysis, management and participation in the energy sector
A few places are still available – so please send your informal registration with name and institution to kontakt@gee.de by June 17.
